Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Praise it! I don’t know how I have gone this long in my life without trying cauliflower crust pizza. I only have three words, IT’S THE BEST!

I’ve known about this quantum leap in pizza creating technology for quite some time, but just never given it a whirl, until now. I have to say, it was very, very good.

Normally, I don’t eat dairy, but after an exceptionally hard day at work, and with needing to buy some late night groceries before a boring night of cooking and cleaning, I thought, what the heck, I’ll treat myself. And thus, my first experience of cauliflower crust was born. I found it at my local healthier foods store. They’re great because they carry a lot of products that are gluten free, dairy free, new-agey and weird. I have a hard time going into that store and just coming out with what I planned on buying. This time, I fully intended on grabbing this pizza.

Fortunately, it didn’t have too much dairy. There is also a plain cauliflower crust pizza that you can top yourself. I think next time I’ll buy that and use some faux-non-dairy-cheese-dupe. As it was I added some mushrooms onto the basic margarita flavour, and it made the pizza perfection.

The crust had a great texture and hold to it. It was more sturdy than other gluten free crusts that I have tried. The cheese and the sauce on it weren’t too greasy and over-the-top. The flavours were good without any regrets afterwards. My new dream cheat meal!

Since I eat mostly paleo-ish, any time I can find pizza that doesn’t turn my stomach to knots I get pretty jazzed. I highly recommend this pizza for more sensitive tummies. Throw some Daiya cheese and I think it’d be a pretty safe bet without sacrificing any flavour.
